KILMEENA U16 GIRL'S LEAGUE

Kilmeena v Cill Chomain, Thursday 9 July 2015
The U16 Girls played their final league game at home last night in wet and tricky playing conditions for both teams.
In what was a keenly contested game, the team captained by Roisin Hogan took an early lead before Cill Chomain fought back to take a four point lead into the half time break.
The second half began with the Kilmeena team playing some excellent football to draw level. This unfortunately was to be short lived as Cill Chomain scored two quick goals mid way through the half to take the lead again. Kilmeena continued to battle hard with some passages of skilfull play from both teams. The result however didn't go Kilmeena's way with Cill Chomain winning out on a score line of
6-13 to 4-11.
Congratulations to Cill Chomain on a good win and thanks to all the Kilmeena girls on what was a very enjoyable game.
