The Captain for this game was Megan Mulchrone, who was returning from injury. As expected, the girls executed their game plan. After winning the toss they started well by taking good early scores, they continued to dominate the visitors over the following three quarters.
However, in the fourth quarter, Castlebar managed to get two vital scores which loosened Kilmeena’s grip of the game and ultimately decided its final outcome. Overall it was a very entertaining display by both teams and Kilmeena can take a lot of heart for their effort. They are improving every time they take to the field.
