The AGM of Kilmeena Bord na nÓg and Kilmeena Ladies Football Club will take place on Tuesday 21st November at 8:00pm in the clubhouse.

All parents and coaches of boys & girls are invited to attend. If you would like to become involved in the club in any way or manage a team for next season please come along on the night.

Kilmeena Bord na nÓg and Kilmeena Ladies will hold their underage presentation in the Castlecourt Hotel, Dome Suite on Sunday 19th November starting at 3:00pm.

This is always an enjoyable occassion and all family members are invited to attend along with the boys and girls themselves. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

N.S. Girls and Boys Winter League Competition Oct 2017

The girls and boys N.S. annual winter league competition got off to a flying start on Sunday. Four girls and six boys teams got to play their first-round matches in somewhat muddy underfoot conditions. Nevertheless, this did not deter the enthusiasm and determination with which all the players gave vent to their football skills acquired during the year. A word of thanks to the young referees from the underage ranks that managed the games so well. Well done to all.
Next round of matches takes place next Sunday at 12 pm.

Skills test for Under 10 and Under 12 groups on the final Sunday.

All players must wear gum shields.
There will be no 45’s.
Maximum 2 plays.
Referees may be young club members so we ask all players & managers to respect them.
Unlimited roll on roll off substitutions.
If your son or daughter has inadvertently been omitted from a team, please turn up on Sunday and he/she will be placed on a team.

PLEASE NOTE THAT GAMES ARE FRIENDLY AND STRICTLY MIXED ABILITY. THIS IS A DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE CLUB INVOLVEMENT.

School Winter League

The dates for the school winter league are as follows:

Sunday 22nd & 29th of October and Sunday 5th of November starting @ 12:30pm at Kilmeena GAA pitch.

This league is for national school boys and girls aged 9-12 years.

A skills competition will also take place on the final Sunday.

The league is to honour the memory of decesead members of familes involved in the Kilmeena club.

Please check the website over the coming days for the list of Boys and Girls teams.

Also the underage presentation evening will take place in the Castlecourt,Dome Suite on Sunday 19th November @ 3:00pm.

Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps

Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls – between the ages of 6 and 13 – with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games

GAA Cúl Camp will take place in St Brendan's Sports Park, Kilmeena, from Monday 24 July to Friday 28 July. 10am - 2.30pm. Register on-line at the link below.

St Brendan's: Cumann na nBunscol County Champions 2017

For the first time in the history of St Brendan's N.S. Myna, the team of lads representing their school, teachers and the community, were crowned Cumann na mBunscol County Champions for 2017. Serving up a feast of football that would do justice to any team their senior, they recovered in great style from a half-time deficit of 8 points to take the title. Playing into a strong wind in the first half, against a determined Bekan side, the half-time deficit of 8 points seemed insurmountable. Led by team captain Darragh Slattery, they tackled this shortfall in the second half with a coolness and focus that did justice to their excellent win to the delight of the home support.
